Paper Luminaire is a decorative pendant light designed and built using various manufacturing technologies involving computer aided parametric design. An assembly of paper cells create the shape and structure of the luminaire. Cells are laser cut from a sheet of paper, folded and glued together, transforming the flat material into an elaborate 3D form. Each cell is arranged to minimize the direct glare from the bulb, thus diffusing the light. The resulting effect radiates a warm glow throughout a room.
